I was born in 1960 on the High Plains of Texas and have spent my whole life here. Not really a deep interest in pursuing a field that involved living things in the world, I have more of an interest in the Physical Sciences. Do enjoy learning about such things though. I work for a land surveying company in Lubbock Texas and thus spent a lot time out in the country side and have had several interesting encounters with both animals and plants. The drought of the recent years has definately affected animal life in this area and started concerning me after noticing drop off in several species counts in areas where they were abundant. I am outdoors most weekdays and get away from the main roadways that the vast majority of people are limited to and have recently started taking shots of the Vegetation and animal life I encounter in an endeavor to get a collection of what is here on the High Plains of Texas that most people would never know of. I am one that is concerned with the affects that Humans have on the Ecology's they move into.
