Wanda Baxter

I am on iNaturalist primarily to spur awareness of the pervasiveness, the impacts, the shockingly high numbers of wildlife vehicle collisions on our roads, and the devastating impacts also of other transportation infrastructure across the landscape. Collision data is needed to help reveal both the extent of the problem and the mitigation that is needed.

Please see the Watch for Wildlife website for more information: www.watchforwildlife.ca

And please, if you are concerned about the impacts of wildlife vehicle collisions, get involved in collecting collision data - even if just on the few kms nearest your home. It is not a feel good activity, it isn't; but it is needed, and it will take many of us to collect the data needed to leverage positive change and wildlife vehicle collision mitigation infrastructure. Our iNaturalist project is Watch for Wildlife NS. Please add observations in NS and beyond.
